Measurement of the amount of sebum on the skin

The Sebumeter® SM815 is a measuring device allowing the assessment of the amount of sebum on the skin.

It uses a cassette with a transparent film sensitive to sebaceous secretions (sebum) and a photo-metric sensor located inside the main unit.

The measurement is obtained 30 seconds after application of the cassette on the skin and is displayed on the device’s digital screen. It ranges from 0 to 300 µg / cm² and corresponds to the quantity of sebum taken from the film.
