Measurement of skin pH and assessment of skin integrity

The cutaneous pH meter® measures the pH of the skin (usually between 4.5 and 5.5) and evaluates its integrity.

Its functionality is based on the relationship between the concentration of H3O+ ions (definition of pH) and the electrochemical potential difference, established in the glass electrode.

We determine the pH value by simple correlation according to the formula below =-log [H+]
